Hula ‘Auana: a more modern style of hula that started as an art form around the beginning of the 20th century. Stories of love, loss, and beautiful lands are illustrated through modern instrumentation like guitars ‘ukulele, steel guitar, and bass.
Hula Kahiko: an ancient style of hula strongly rooted in the stories of the past. Using traditional percussion instruments as the beat, it tells stories of history, rulers, and important events, and can be an extension of ceremony.
Brides’ Workshop: Those that have already been married at Hartley or are getting married there have received a special invitation for this free workshop. Space is limited, so it is recommended to rsvp as soon as possible.
